HUBBARD Joan A. Heipel, 77, of Hubbard, died Sunday evening, April 27, 2008 at Orange Village Care Center. She was born on December 5, 1930, in Wyoming, PA, a daughter of Chauncey and Sarah Custerd and lived in Hubbard since 1972.

Mrs. Heipel was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Her husband, George M. Heipel, whom she married on May 19, 1945, died on May 2, 1994.

She leaves three sons, George M. Heipel, Jr. of Glouster, PA, Steven P. Heipel of Youngstown and Richard M. Heipel of Hubbard; three daughters, Marilyn Wyer of Brookfield, Kathryn J. Miles of Hubbard and Kristine M. Kortes of Danville, PA; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Besides her husband, preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Fred Custerd and a sister, Minnie Custerd.
