HUBBARD Jennie S. Papa, 99, of Hubbard, died Friday morning, May 9, 2008, at her residence. She was born February 6, 1909, in Italy, a daughter of Anthony and Angeline Volpe DeSantis and came to the United States at the age of 28 months and has resided in Hubbard since then.

Mrs. Papa, a homemaker, was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard, Altar and Rosary Society, Infant Jesus of Prague Guild, Adua Lodge, Mt. Carmel Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Her first husband, Joseph Scopacasa, whom she married November 27, 1926, died April 21, 1946. Her second husband, Dominic Papa, whom she married September 25, 1947, died September 9, 1995. She leaves a son, Vincent (Mary) Scopacasa of Hubbard; two daughters, Mary (Ralph) Fero and Angeline (John) Pitoscia, both of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Michael DeSantis of Hubbard and John DeSantis of Tallmadge, OH; one sister, Rose Pasquarella of Hubbard; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Louis and Dominic DeSantis, one sister, Marietta Campana and a granddaughter, Susan Scopacasa.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 9:15 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 pm.
