BROOKFIELD TWP Jeffrey L. Zahniser, 40, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, July 8, 2010 at Sharon Regional Health System. He was born March 27, 1970 in Warren, a son of Jack and Sandra Deal McGhee and was a lifelong area resident.

Jeff was a welder for Ellwood Engineered Castings in Hubbard for three years, and had previously worked for ICA Industrial Cleaning. He was a 1989 graduate of Brookfield High School and attended the Liberty Methodist Church. He was a Brookfield Jr. Fireman and a Fireman for the Toyota Company in Kentucky.

Jeff was a family man and lived for his children. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He will be remembered for his humor and good nature. Jeff would brighten a room with his smile and quick wit.

He leaves his wife of two and a half weeks, the former, Holly A. Kurcon, whom he married on June 19, 2010; three sons, Kyle Anderson and Chase Zahniser at home and Connor Zahniser of Pennsylvania; four daughters, Desiree Gadd of Brookfield, Elise Zahniser, Kaitlyn Kurcon and Autumn Williams all at home.; six sisters, Brenda (Eric) Loose of Michigan, Theresa (Rusty) Deal of Hubbard, Patricia (Matt) Halicki of Hubbard, Tina McGhee of Farrell, PA, Christy Anderson of Sharon and Laura McGhee of Girard; an aunt, Betty Zahniser Shafer of Brookfield and his stepmother, Carol McGhee of Farrell.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jeff will be sadly missed by his wife, family, extended family, friends and neighbors and all who loved him.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call on Monday, 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery.
