BROOKFIELD Jeanne G. Wilson, 85, of Brookfield, died Monday morning, August 11, 2008, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. She was born on July 24, 1923, in Youngstown, a daughter of Hallie and Hazel Ann Cox Gray and was a lifelong area resident, living in Hubbard many years before moving to Brookfield.
Mrs. Wilson, a homemaker, had worked at General Fireproofing Corporation and Truscon during World War II. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church, the former Fellowship Baptist Church and the Brookvillage Senior Citizens. Jeanne had attended Scienceville High School and enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, singing, playing the organ and table games.
Her husband, Arthur R. Wilson, Sr., whom she married on November 25, 1939, died on June 26, 1994.
She leaves her son, Arthur R. (Tammy) Wilson, Jr. of Masury; a brother, James G. Gray of Hubbard; three sisters, Beverly E. Tuttle Zollman of Safety Harbor, FL, Ruth E. Card of White Rock, TX and Valda Noble of Coitsville; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Ruth Anne Gibson; three sisters, Hazel L. Gray, Ginger Buckner and Jacqueline Davies and a grandchild, Rebekah Joanne Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
