HUBBARD Jean M. McGlynn, 75, died Monday evening, June 23, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She was born September 27, 1932, in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles F. and Agnes V. McGuire Darrow and was a life long area resident.

Mrs. McGlynn, a homemaker, previously worked as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and a former member of St. Patrick Church in Youngstown. Jean enjoyed traveling especially going on cruises and visiting Hawaii. A very devoted parent and grandparent, she cherished spending Sundays with her family and was very proud of being a 1951 graduate of South High School.

She leaves her husband, David E. McGlynn, whom she married February 24, 1968; one son, S. Charles "Chuck" (Nanette) Thompson of Hubbard; two daughters, Susan M. (Steve) Shrader of Hartford and Mary Anne (fiancé Donald Orr) Mullins of Brookfield; one sister, Ann L. Burtnett of Hubbard; 24 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Patrick J. Thompson, a step daughter, Trishia McGlynn Klingbeil and a sister, Mary Margaret "Tuddy" Jones.

Funeral services will be Friday, 9:15 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
