HUBBARD Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home for Mr. Jarrel J. Parsons, 71 of 5095 County Line Rd. who died Monday evening at his home following a long illness.
He was born February 18, 1929 in Putney, WV a son of Elmer and Shirley Hamrick Parsons and lived in Hubbard for 41 years.
Mr. Parsons worked for the former Valley Mold and Iron Corp., Hubbard for 27 years before retiring in 1986. He attended Victory Assembly of God Church, Lowellville and served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed antique cars.
He leaves his wife, the former Ruth White whom he married September 26, 1953; four sons, Jerry Parsons of Lynchburg, VA, Elmer Parsons of Lowellville, David Parsons of Masury, and Richard Parsons of Pulaski, PA; two daughters, Linda Tracy of Hubbard and Joyce Hogan of Youngstown; a brother, Ledora Parsons of Hubbard; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 6 to 9 PM.
Burial will be in Mahoning Valley Memorial Park.
