HUBBARD James J. Uher, 85, died Monday evening at his home. He was born April 1, 1926 in Chardon.

Mr. Uher was a cement finisher for the Cement Masons and Plasterers Local #179 for 53 years. He served with the United States Army during World War II having received three bronze stars. James was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3307. His passion was gardening and he enjoyed fishing and hunting when he was younger.

He leaves his wife, the former Betty A. Zins, whom he married August 2, 1948; two sons, John Uher and James Uher; a daughter and caregiver, Sherry Uher and a sister, Helen Beil.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dan Uher.

There are no calling hours or funeral services.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice in Austintown.
