HUBBARD James S. Stefanik Sr., 47, died peacefully Sunday evening December 17, 2017 at Hospice House surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born January 2, 1970 in Youngstown, a son of Stephen J. and Mary F. Carman Stefanik and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mr. Stefanik, a 1988 graduate of Hubbard High School, worked in the fab shop at Phillips Manufacturing for 16 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being outdoors and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He leaves his wife, the former Donna M. Grundy, whom he married June 20, 1987; his mother, Mary Stefanik of Boardman; a son, James S. (Lauren) Stefanik Jr. of Hubbard; a daughter, Ashley L. (Michael) Wilson of Struthers; two brothers, Steve and Jack; 5 sisters, Robin, Theresa, Deb, Mary Annette and Christine and 2 grandchildren, Austin and Maleena. He also leaves several beloved friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Larry and Scott and two sisters, Twila and Doreen.

Per Jim's request, there are no calling hours or funeral services.
