WARREN James A. Seger, 46, died Wednesday morning July 9, 2014 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home in Orwell. He was born November 16, 1967 in Warren, a son of Robert W. and Rebecca Marie Guerrieri Seger.
Mr. Seger was a 1986 graduate of Maple Wood High School in Cortland, served with the United States Navy and attended Kent State University. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard and was a crane follower in the annealing department for RG Steel from 1996 until their closing in 2012. James was a member of the Moose Lodge in Cortland, loved golfing and crossword puzzles and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
He leaves his wife, the former Lisa Christine Takash, whom he married August 21, 1999; his mother, Rebecca Seger of Warren; a sister, Renee Marie Seger of Warren; an aunt, Janice Guerrieri of Warren; an uncle, Frank Seger of Pensacola, FL; 18 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews.
Jim also leaves brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elmer (Robin) Takash of Hubbard; Matthew Takash of Hubbard, Mark (Tammy) Takash of Hubbard; Luke (Jolene) Takash of Hubbard; John Takash of Hubbard; Debra (Howard) Plant of Mercer, PA and Barbara (Douglas) Neilson of Virginia; Brian Wagaman of Warren who was like a brother to him and visited him frequently while in the nursing home and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Laura Takash and a sister-in-law, Gail Marie Takash.
Memorial services will be held Saturday July 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home in Hubbard.
There are no calling hours.
