HUBBARD James C. Sample, 68, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his home. He was born November 6, 1941 in Sharon, a son of Harold F. and Helen V. Boals Sample and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Sample was a welder for Stanwade Metal Products for 44 years before retiring in 2004. James drove stock cars in the early 1960's at Sharon Speedway, coached baseball and bowled for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, camping and his grandchildren.
His wife, the former Sondra L. Briggs, whom he married May 15, 1964, died August 14, 1996.
He leaves a son, Harold J. Sample of Hubbard; three daughters, Wendie L. (Ben) Vanden Bosch of Boardman, Judy A. Killin of Hubbard and Wanda L. (Steve) Dennison of Hubbard; a sister, Linda L. (Russ) Langley of Brookfield; three grandchildren, Jaimie and Kasey Vanden Bosch and Katlyn Killin.
He was a preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 AM at Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Family and friends may call on Monday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
