HUBBARD James Lee Phillips, 79, died Wednesday afternoon January 25, 2012 at Sharon Regional Health System. He was born February 27, 1932 in Rome, Ohio, a son of Lloyd L. and Regina Gable Phillips and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Phillips was a crane rigger for Valley Mold for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a former member of the Hubbard VFW Post No. 3767. James enjoyed gardening, cooking and making wine.

His wife, the former Linda L. Begeot, whom he married June 9, 1956, died September 5, 1999.

He leaves five sons, Lloyd A. Phillips of Chandler, AZ, James L. (Janet) Phillips Jr. of Clark, PA, Wayne E. Phillips of Midland Australia, William M. (Lisa) Phillips of Hubbard and John C. (Barb) Phillips of Hubbard; a daughter, Anita L. (Frank) Gallo of Hubbard; two brothers, Donald "Butch" (Linda) Phillips of Hubbard and Carl (Mae) Phillips of Florida; a sister, Goldie (Dave) Burrell of Masury; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Charles "Bud" Phillips; a granddaughter, Emily Phillips and a great grandson, Dalton James Phillips.

Funeral services will be held Monday 12:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with full military honors provided by the Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard Post #540.

Family and friends may call on Monday 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Mahoning Valley Memorial Park.
