HUBBARD A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for James A. Petrella, 89, who died Sunday morning November 1, 2015 at Liberty Health Care. He was born February 2, 1926 in Hubbard, a son of Salvatore and Maria Casasanta Petrella and was a lifelong Hubbard resident. Mr. Petrella, a graduate of Hubbard High School, was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. He served with the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the Hubbard VFW Post No. 3767. James was also a member of the Hello Brothers Club of Hubbard. His wife, the former Carmen Romo, whom he married June 11, 1964, died February 26, 2014. James leaves a sister, Viola DeSantis of Aliquippa, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Joseph and Mike Pizzofferato and Rocco Petrella and four sisters, Catherine Stabile, Connie Petrella, Phyllis Pagley and Cecelia Halicki. Family and friends may call on Thursday, two hours prior to the Mass from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
