HUBBARD James L. Notman, 74 of Hubbard, died Sunday morning, May 16, 2004, at Northside Medical Center after suffering the effects of polio for over 50 years . He was born March 5, 1930, in Massillon, OH, a son of Byron and Edna M. Scott Notman and had lived in Hubbard since 1955.
Mr. Notman graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in education and taught at Champion Elementary School for 25 years retiring in 1982. He served with the Army as a Corporal in the Military Police during the occupation of Europe from 1951 to 1953.
He leaves two sisters, Dorothy M. Notman of Hubbard and Betty J. DiBell of Canfield; three nieces, Rebecca Churchill of Myrtle Beach, SC, Monica DiBell and Michelle DiBell, both of Canfield.
His parents and a brother, Dick Notman are deceased.
Private services and calling hours will be held Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
