HUBBARD Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at Hall Cemetery for James Leo McCabe, 81, who died Tuesday morning November 29, 2011 at Pembrooke Place. He was born July 30, 1930 in Ransom, PA a son of John J. and Gertrude Schuman McCabe and moved to Youngstown as a child in 1940.
Mr. McCabe worked in the payroll accounting department of Youngstown Sheet and Tube at Campbell and Brier Hill for 28 years before retiring in 1980. He graduated from the Rayen High School, attended several vocational programs and was a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. James was a former member of St. Columba and St. Dominic Churches. He had many hobbies, including crafting and floral design and in general enjoyed collecting things.
He leaves three nieces and a nephew, Maureen (Bill) Bross, Kathleen (James) Fagan, Edward (Kim) Patrick and Christine Patrick; three great nephews and one great niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean A. Patrick.
