Obituary
HUBBARD Mr. James "Roy" Bortmas, 86, of Hubbard, died Wednesday morning, October 9, 2002, at Hillside Hospital, Warren. He was born May 17, 1916, in Girard, OH, a son of Hallet Guy and Sarah Jane Hinzeman Bortmas and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Bortmas worked for United States Steel, McDonald Works in McDonald, OH for 48 years before retiring in 1978.
He leaves his wife, the former, Alice C. Harper, whom he married May 17, 1940; he leaves a son, Ronald E. (Charlotte) Bortmas of Weddington, NC; two daughters, Tammy (Fred) Gudzinas of Hubbard and Ruth Bortmas of Mesa, AZ; two brothers, William D. Bortmas of California and George C. Bortmas of Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Four brothers, Edward, Howard, Robert and Raymond and a sister, Hallie Christy are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 12:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.
Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Friday one hour prior to the service, 11:00 AM to 12: 00 PM.
