NEW BEDFORD, PA Jacquelyn F. "Jackie" Hughes, 69, of New Bedford, PA, died Tuesday morning, December 27, 2005, at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, PA. She was born July 7, 1936, in Pennsylvania, a daughter of James and Irene Young Pearce and lived most of her life in the New Bedford – New Castle area.

Mrs. Hughes was a manager at the Tic Toc Food Mart on McCartney Road in Youngstown for 22 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the New Bedford Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling, cooking and being with her family.

She leaves her husband, Leman J. Hughes, whom she married on July 12, 1957; a son, Steven L. Hughes of New Bedford, PA; four daughters, Jodi (Thomas) Gargasz of Pulaski, PA, Beth Ann (Kenneth) Longwill of New Bedford, PA, Heather Hughes of Bellefonte, PA and Courtney (Jeffrey) Longwill of New Bedford, PA; a brother, William Pearce of Danville, VA; three sisters, Jean Stanley and Nancy Welsh, both of New Castle, PA and Shirley Stutz of Pensacola, FL; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Her parents and a sister, Sally Smith, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, OH.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, prior to the services.
