NEW BEDFORD Jack L. Edwards Sr., 77, died Tuesday evening November 26, 2013 at Nugents Nursing Home in Hermitage, PA. He was born July 24, 1936 in Huntington, PA a son of Bursy L. and Margaret Gilliam Edwards.

Mr. Edwards, a graduate of North High School, was a mechanic for Stiver Chevrolet in Hubbard for 7 years and owned and operated Jack's Auto in New Bedford for 15 years. He was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship and enjoyed woodworking and working on cars, mostly Corvettes.

His wife, the former Judith F. Ricketts whom he married July 6, 1957, died February 1, 2000.

He leaves two sons, Jack L. (Vicki) Edwards Jr. and Jason M. L. (Denise) Edwards both of New Bedford; two brothers, Bursy Edwards of Boardman and David (Shay) Pittinger of New Bedford; three sisters, Deanna Finley of Lorain, Linda Doyle of Phoenix, AZ and Helen Harrold of New Castle and two grandsons, Jason II and Joshua.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Family and friends may call on Saturday 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery.
