HUBBARD Irene J. Schroeder, 90, died Thursday evening September 29, 2011 at Sharon Regional Hospital. She was born December 21, 1920 in Lawrence County, PA a daughter of Marco and Gaetano Pollice Sciulli and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Schroeder, a homemaker, had worked at Sharon Steel in the chemical lab where she met her husband, and also at St. Elizabeth Hospital in the newborn nursery. Irene was a member of St. Patrick Church. She was an award winning cook, having won several blue ribbons and had many recipies published.

Her husband, William H. Schroeder, whom she married February 1, 1947, died February 2, 2005.

She leaves two sons, Joseph M. (Patty) Schroeder and Bill M. Schroeder both of Hubbard; two daughters, Jean C. Morosky of Cincinnati and Elizabeth A. (Charles) Evans of Hubbard; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jon Schroeder; three brothers, Dominic, Albert and John Sciulli and three sisters, Mary Sturbi, Carmel Ambrosia and Leta Sciulli.

Family and friends may call on Monday 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Private funeral services will be held and burial will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
