HUBBARD Irene Policy, 91, died Friday afternoon, August 27, 2010 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. She was born March 29, 1919 in Hubbard, a daughter of Michael and Mary Dudash Turchan and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Policy, a homemaker, was a welder for Powell Pressed Steel during the war. She was a member of St. Patrick Church and loved cooking and baking.

Her husband, Joseph P. Policy, whom she married November 28, 1947, died November 20, 2001.

She leaves a son, Michael J. (Patricia) Policy of Hubbard and two grandchildren, Jennifer Policy of Hubbard and Kathleen Policy of Washington DC.

She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Henry Policy; a brother, Joseph Turchan; seven sisters, Elizabeth Griz, Julia Tickey, Mary Bolchalk, Ann Zieme, Barbara Gerdine, Susan Turchan and Mamie Carson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Monday 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
