LAUDERDALE LAKES, FL Mrs. Irene H. Kostow, 78 of Northwest 40th St., died Saturday evening at Florida Lakes Medical Center, Lauderdale Lakes, FL. She was born April 27, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of Stephen and Pearl Barsai Kish and was a lifelong area resident until moving to Florida in 1995.

Irene owned and operated Chestnut Ridge Grocery Store, Hubbard, OH for 20 years before retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Campbell, OH and enjoyed golf, bowling and bingo.

Her husband, Peter J. Kostow, whom she married August 21, 1943, died April 2, 1982. She leaves three daughters, Marilyn Marino of Lauderdale Lakes, FL, Patty Clark of Hubbard and Diane McCabe of Youngstown; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A brother, Charles Kish and a sister, Elizabeth Kish are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at the Kelley~Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard, OH. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Kelley~Robb Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, OH.
