OAKWOOD VILLAGE, OH Mrs. Irene M. Johnson, 78, of Oak Park Nursing Home, formerly of Hubbard, died Thursday morning, August 16, 2001. She was born May 10, 1923 in Youngstown, a daughter of Ralph and Edna Gilbert Tooill and moved to Twinsburg in 1986 coming from Hubbard.
Mrs. Johnson worked for the Youngstown Library in the Circulation Department for 24 years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Youngstown, the O.E.S. Trias No. 523, and the American Association of Retired Persons. She was a 1940 graduate of Hubbard High School.
Her husband, Carl E. Johnson, whom she married August 11, 1941, died July 9, 1993. She leaves a daughter, Linda Keller of Twinsburg, OH; a brother, John Tooill of Youngstown; three sisters, Lucile Sturdevant, Mary Murdock and Clara Smith all of Youngstown and three grandchildren, Jennie, Andy and Stephen Keller of Twinsburg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
