HUBBARD Irena Jane Hoover, 79, died Monday morning March 25, 2024 at her home. She was born November 8, 1944 in Youngstown, a daughter of Albert and Marie Gerthung Schulte.

Mrs. Hoover, a graduate of North High School was a self-employed hair dresser, owning the Chestnut Ridge Salon for 35 years, before retiring in 2018. She was a member of the Corner House Christian Church and enjoyed sewing and taking care of her clients over the years.

Her husband, William L. Hoover Sr., whom she married August 21, 1964, died January 15, 2021.

She leaves two sons, Dr. William L. Hoover Sr. and his wife Laura and Arlis Hoover and his wife Tracy; a daughter, Angel Kinder and her husband Rick; two brothers, Albert "Butch" Schulte and Mark Schulte and his wife Muffy; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William and two brothers, Larry and John Schulte.

There are no calling hours or funeral services.
