YOUNGSTOWN Ira G. Pyatt, 81, of Youngstown, died Thursday morning, March 22, 2007, at Northside Medical Center. He was born on January 12, 1926, in Caperton, WV, a son of Russell A. Martie R. Martin Pyatt and lived in this area over fifty years.
Mr. Pyatt worked for Roth Brothers for seven years, retiring in 1977 and prior to this, worked for Hill-Hubble Steel Company in Girard. Ira, a veteran of World War II, served in the 2nd Armor Division and was a member of VFW No. 3307 in Youngstown. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, CB radios and gardening.
He leaves his wife, the former June B. Campbell, whom he married on October 1, 1949; two sons, Bruce L. (Georgia Carolyn) Pyatt and Glenn J. (Elizabeth) Pyatt, both of Austintown; two daughters, Sandra K. (Gary) Green of Lisbon, OH and Kathy (Jan) Pustai of Montville, OH; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
His parents, five brothers and five sisters, preceded him in death.
There are no funeral services or calling hours.
