HUBBARD Howard Starcher, 70, of Hubbard, died Monday afternoon, January 10, 2005, at his residence. He was born August 7, 1934, in Ravenna, OH, a son of Sheridan and Edna Fairbee Starcher and lived in Hubbard for the past 14 years coming from Leavittsburg, OH.
Mr. Starcher worked for Ohio Edison-Warren Division for 38 years, retiring in 1996 and after retiring he worked for Strimbu Trucking in Brookfield for 8 years. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and his grandkids.
He leaves his wife, Sheila Jarrett Steffler; two sons, Mick (Linda) Starcher of Leavittsburg, OH and Ed Starcher of Leavittsburg, OH; a stepson, Jason (Heidi) Steffler of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; a daughter, Linda Huey of Warren; four brothers, Paul Starcher and Don Starcher, both of Mantua, OH, Lawrence Starcher of Alexandria, VA and Junior Starcher of Lake Placid, FL; two sisters, Pauline Varga of Mantua, OH and Betty Starcher of Ravenna, OH; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter, June Ann Starcher and a brother, Dorman Starcher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
