Biography

HUBBARD Howard C. Fennell, 73, died Tuesday morning May 27, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1940 in Greensburg, PA a son of Charles and Margaret Carr Fennell and has lived in the area for 60 years, coming from Greensburg.

Mr. Fennell was a truck driver for Preston Trucking from 1976 to 1998 and previously had worked for Great Lakes Trucking. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church having served as an usher.

Howard, a car enthusiast, was a member of the Hermitage Corvette Club and enjoyed restoring cars. He enjoyed meeting good friends at McDonald's in Hubbard and Dunkin Donuts in Boardman and if anyone enjoyed retirement, it certainly was Howard. His warm smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all his good friends and especially his family.

He leaves his wife, the former Sadie Marotti, whom he married in 1978; four daughters, Wanda Clay of Canfield, Sherill (Dan) Neal of Boardman, Brenda (Mark Anthony) Guido of Boardman and Charlene (Mike) Ondrey of Boardman; a stepson, Frank (Cindy) Yannucci of Poland; a sister, Mary Vasko of Hanover; 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves his first wife, Mary Katherine Slagle.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Fennell and a sister, Dorothy Seager.

Family and friends may call on Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday 10:30 AM at Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
