HUBBARD Hilda M. Ganter, 76, died Saturday evening December 27, 2014 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. She was born September 9, 1938 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Lloyd and Gladys Short Arthur and moved to Hubbard in 1950.

Mrs. Ganter, a homemaker, attended Hubbard High School.

Her husband, James P. Ganter, whom she married November 3, 1973, died in December 1998.

She leaves four sons, Michael Johnston of Naples, FL, Mark Johnston of Youngstown, Thomas (Jan) Johnston of Hubbard and James Johnston of Hubbard; three daughters, Cathy (Bill) Cummings of Hubbard, Lisa Johnston of Bolivar, OH and Jeanene (Kevin) Swanson of Hubbard; two brothers, Charles Arthur of Augusta, GA and Fred (Ilene) Arthur of Hubbard; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She also leaves her longtime friend Mabel Zadravec, her Hubbard friends and extended family in Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Arthur.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday two hours prior to the funeral service from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Hilda's final resting place will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
