HUBBARD Hester D. Firl, 82, of Hubbard, died Monday morning, April 12, 2004, at Northside Medical Center. He was born March 5, 1922, in Bambush, WV, a son of Ira and Roxie Koonce Firl, and lived in Hubbard since 1955.

Mr. Firl worked for Ohio Edison for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

His wife, the former Ruth Paden, whom he married February 25, 1956, died March 7, 1978.

He leaves a son, Loy E. (Lonna) Firl of Hubbard; two daughters, Edna Taylor and Ruthie Taylor, both of Mill Creek, WV; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers and six sisters.

There are no calling hours.

Private funeral services will be held on Friday morning.

Arrangements were handled by the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
