HUBBARD Henry A. "Hank" Garono, 68, of Hubbard, died Tuesday evening, June 12, 2007, at his residence. He was born on September 25, 1938, in Hubbard, a son of Anthony Sr. and Eleanor Clacko Garono and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mr. Garono was the superintendent of the landscaping department at Youngstown State University for 37 years, where he had been honored for his landscaping designs. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and a 1957 graduate of Hubbard High School. Hank was an avid golfer and a member of Tippecanoe Country Club, Avalon Golf & Country Club and Squaw Creek Country Club.

He leaves four brothers, Ralph (Judy) Garono of Fairlawn, OH, Anthony (Betty Ann) Garono of Canfield, William Garono of Hubbard and Larry "Jeep" Garono of Hubbard; 14 nieces and nephews and 22 great-nieces and great-nephews, which he treated as his own children.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
