SHARON Helen M. Roskos, 89, of Katy, TX, formerly of Sharon, PA, died Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Oakmont Health Care Center, Katy, TX. She was born January 27, 1918, in Masury, OH, a daughter of James Thomas and Margaret Carr McIntee, where she lived until moving to Sharon in 1941. She then moved to Katy, TX, to be with her daughter and son-in-law in 1999. Helen will be missed by her family and friends in the Sharon area and by her newest friends in Texas who all knew her as Grandma.
Helen worked at Westinghouse Electric in Sharon during World War II in a "Rosie the Riveter" job and later worked for many years as a sales clerk at the former Sharon Store. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sharon, until moving to Texas.
Her husband, John Roskos, whom she married in 1941, died in 1997. She leaves a son-in-law, Earl Davis of Katy, TX; three grandsons, John, Richard and Edward Davis and five great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Delores Davis, a brother, Thomas McIntee and two sisters, Alice Maxwell and Ursula Matovina.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
