WEST MIDDLESEX, PA Helen S. Fisher, 86, of West Middlesex, died Thursday morning, September 25, 2008, at Nugents Nursing Home in Hermitage, PA. She was born on October 7, 1921, in Pulaski Township, PA, a daughter of Harry W. and Irene E. Burrows Root and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Her husband, Arthur F. Fisher, whom she married on December 14, 1938, died on May 9, 1992.

She leaves two sons, Franklin J. Fisher of Pulaski, PA and Larry A. Fisher of Masury; two daughters, Virginia Bennett of Hubbard and Norma Pugh of Brookfield; seventeen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, preceding her in death were her parents, six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, where family and friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
