YOUNGSTOWN Helen D. Bretz, 98, died Monday morning, March 16, 2009 at her residence. She was born October 18, 1910 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Katherine Zikeli Bretz and was a life long area resident.

Miss Bretz worked in the office at General Electric Corporation for 39 years retiring in 1973. She was a member of the Honterus Lutheran Church, the Saxon Club of Youngstown and enjoyed crocheting and needle point.

She leaves two sisters, Emma Greff of Pottsville, PA and Eleanor McClelland of Liberty Twp. and a nephew, whom she raised, Bill Bretz of Atlanta, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Ralph, William and Edward Bretz and a sister Matilda K. Bretz.

Private funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.
