HUBBARD Helen Frances Balestrino, 80, of Hubbard, died Tuesday morning, March 20, 2007, at her residence. She was born on February 21, 1927, in Hubbard, a daughter of James and Louise Carano Ross and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Balestrino, a homemaker, devoted her life to caring for her husband and family. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and a member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Francis J. Hughes Council 2072 Auxiliary. She was a 1945 graduate of Ursuline High School and enjoyed traveling, fishing and boating.

She leaves her husband, Thomas J. Balestrino, whom she married on June 16, 1948; three sons, Thomas F. (Deborah) Balestrino of Hubbard, James J. Balestrino of North Carolina and Jerald M. Balestrino of Hubbard; three daughters, Linda C. (Lynn) de la Court of Hamilton, OH, Judith Angott of Hubbard and Janet M. (Benjamin) Forbing of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers, James Ross and Charles Ross, both of Hubbard; three sisters, Phyllis Hamilton of Hubbard, Christina Noga of Raleigh, NC and Barbara Clark of Hubbard; a great-aunt Anna Mae Laczo of Hubbard; thirteen grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
