HUBBARD A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for Harry G. Fricker, 84, who died Saturday morning May 28, 2016 at his home. He was born November 29, 1931 in Hubbard Twp. at home, a son of George E. and Rose E. Ryhal Fricker and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.
Mr. Fricker, a 1950 graduate of Hubbard High School was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and served with the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954, having been on the USS Oriskany. Harry worked as a yardmaster with Conrail for 40 years, before retiring 1993. He enjoyed gardening, mowing grass, tending to his swimming pool and loved to swim.
Harry was very caring, compassionate and one of the nicest men you would ever meet, he loved his entire family and will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Rita M. Greene, whom he married January 7, 1955; four sons, Thomas (Cherrie) Fricker of Niles, Harry (Mary Lisa) Fricker of Girard, William (Amy) Fricker of Hubbard and David Fricker of Masury; a daughter, Cynthia (Dante) Chick of Hubbard; a brother, Paul Fricker of Hubbard ; two sisters, Shirley (Jim) DeVito of Hubbard and DeLaine Koelilliker of Hubbard; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cheryl Fricker Paris and a brother, Billy Fricker.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Closing prayers will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
