Private Graveside services will take place at a later date for Harold Shives, 81, of Lowellville, who passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 8:50 pm in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus. Harold was born on February 17, 1935 in Youngstown the son of the late Theodore V. and Elizabeth Martin Shives and was a lifelong area resident. A General Motors retiree, Harold was a repairman for over 30 years retiring in 1995. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Harold is survived by his wife the former Barbara Jarko whom he married on August 11, 1956; two children Harold (Karen Tocco) Shives of Struthers and Debra Shives of Hubbard; a brother, Alfred Shives of New Springfield; four sisters Betty Brown of Oklahoma, Iris Evans of Liberty, Mabel Gorden of Hubbard and Judy Davison of Liberty. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph and Theodores Shives and a sister, Wanda Tredoni.
