Grover Duncan's Obituary


HUBBARD Grover R. Duncan, 88, of Hubbard, died on Sunday afternoon, November 11, 2007 at Autumn Hills Care Center. He was born on July 11, 1919, in Flower, WV, a son of Opha Lee and Clara D. Bosley Duncan and moved to Hubbard in 1949.

Mr. Duncan worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company for many years, retiring in 1981. He was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran, having served during World War II. Grover enjoyed going to garage sales.

His wife, the former Willena "Billy" Anna Heckert, whom he married on October 2, 1943, died on June 6, 1989.

He leaves two daughters, Barbara Edwards and Patti (Dennis) Pagano, both of Hubbard; a sister, Ione "Peggy" Blake of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces, including Donna McLaughlin of Pinch, WV.

Besides his wife, preceding him in death, were his parents, a brother, Walter Duncan and four sisters, Mavis Cumberledge, Avis Duncan, Grace Cumberledge and Mary Blake.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
