HUBBARD Goldie Dobos, 94, died Saturday morning, May 12, 2007. She was born May 14, 1912, in Newark, OH, a daughter of Joseph and Meri Papp Tranick and moved to Hubbard in 1941, coming from Hartford, OH.
Mrs. Dobos worked for Federal Wholesale Company in Hubbard for 17 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Patrick Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She also belonged to the Infant Jesus of Prague, Mt. Carmel Society, Ladies Auxiliary of the Retreat House and the AARP.
Her husband, Joseph Dobos, whom she married January 4, 1933, died October 8, 1972. She leaves three sons, Joseph R. Dobos, III, with whom she made her home, John D. (Sandra) Dobos and Ronald R. (Carol) Dobos, all of Hubbard; two daughters, Mary Jane Dobos of Hubbard and Clara Ann Cozy of Ashtabula, OH; one sister, Clara Combine of Sharpsville, PA; eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Joseph, John, Steve and Louis Tranick and three sisters, Elizabeth Griz, Margaret Goncz and Ann Nuzzolo.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:15 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
