HUBBARD Goldie C. Burrell, 72, died Monday evening at Sharon Regional Health Systems Hospice Suite. She was born September 12, 1940 in East Springfield, PA, a daughter of Lloyd L. and Regina Gable Phillips and was a lifelong Hubbard and Masury resident.
Mrs. Burrell worked for Reyers Shoe Store for 7 years and was in Top Sales and had a booth of Vintage Jewelry and Glassware at Diana's Gift Shop. Goldie was a 1958 graduate of Hubbard and was a member of the TOPS Club.
Goldie loved Bingo, bowling, playing Euchre and going to yard sales. Once she got on a computer she loved researching on it. You could always find Goldie doodling or drawing, taking pictures or scrapbooking. She loved to travel and go on casino trips.
She leaves her husband of almost 53 years, David F. Burrell, whom she married May 7, 1960; a daughter, Diana L. (Charles) Shipton of Hubbard; two brothers, Carl (Mae) Phillips of Port St. Joe, FL and Donald "Butch" (Linda) Phillips of Hubbard; five grandchildren, Amanda and her boyfriend Brad, David and his fiance Jennifer, James, Allison and her friend Gina and Elaina and one great granddaughter, Natalie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David C. Burrell; three brothers, George, Charles "Bud" and James Phillips and a sister, Pearl Phillips.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Roland officiating.
Family and friends may call on Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and also on Friday one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery.
