HUBBARD Glenn F. Roskie, 80, of Hubbard, died of cancer Thursday evening, December 29, 2005 at his residence. He was born October 4, 1925, in Youngstown, a son of John P. and Annie Laurie Gale Roskie and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.
Mr. Roskie worked for Hubbard Coal & Supply for 25 years, retiring in 1968 and he also worked for Morrow 3-D Service Station for 25 years, retiring in 1987. Glenn was a member of Corner House Christian Church in Hubbard and attended Chestnut Ridge Church of God where he was a member of the TMTM Group. He was a 1943 graduate of Hubbard High School and a former member of the IOOF Lodge in Hubbard. Glenn enjoyed bowling, gardening and making woodcrafts.
He leaves his wife, the former Jacqueline J. Jagger, whom he married September 26, 1949; a son, Jeffrey L. (Jeannie) Roskie of Campbell; a daughter, Karen R. (Reverend William C.) Mead of Vero Beach, FL; two brothers, John Gale Roskie of Ocala, FL and Raymond Roskie of Wheatland, PA; a sister, Margaret Adkins of Brookfield; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
His parents and a sister, Virginia Seelye, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard with Rev. Rob McFarland and Rev. William C. Mead officiating.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
