Geri Tkac's Obituary

HUBBARD Geri K. Tkac, 70, died Saturday morning September 15, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She was born October 30, 1941 in McKeesport, PA a daughter of William J. "Bull" Maglicco and Kathleen Naugle McClellan and moved to the Hubbard area in 1962 from McKeesport.

Mrs. Tkac graduated from McKeesport High School and was a nurse's aide on the maternity ward at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 8 years. Geri was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, where she was very active, having been a CCD Teacher for 35 years, a liturgical lector, a Eucharistic minister, serenaded with the Renewal Group and worked and ran Bingo at St. Pat's for 5 years. She was also Past President of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Infant of Prague.

Geri was a Coitsville Twp. Trustee for 4 years, organized a crime watch and was a Precinct Committee Person. She also started the Ursuline High School Bingo in 1984.

She leaves her husband, Ronald Tkac, whom she married May 23, 1963; a daughter, Heather Edelston of Hubbard; two brothers, Frank (Teresa) Maglicco of North Huntington, PA and Carmen (Suzanne) Maglicco of Pleasant Hills, PA; a half brother, Thomas (Carlisa) Maglicco of McKeesport, PA; a granddaughter, Victoria Edelston of Hubbard and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a half brother, William Maglicco; a son, Ronald Tkac and a daughter, Lisa Ann Tkac.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
