HUBBARD George R. Skrbina, 56, of Hubbard, died Monday morning, December 3, 2007, at Hospice House. He was born on April 16, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of Rudy and Ann Hanzelic Skrbina and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Skrbina was the owner of the original Ohio Pig House on Belmont Avenue in Youngstown and formerly owned Michaelangelo's and the Royal Oaks Restaurant in Youngstown. He loved and was a big supporter of Tamburitzen music and all music. In 1978, he won the 1st Annual Rib Burn-off in Niles.

He leaves his wife, Regina Romeo, whom he married on February 15, 1999; two brothers, Rudy (Jenny) Skrbina of DeKalb, MO and Paul (Stephany) Skrbina of Port Clinton, OH; a sister, Terry (Jerry) Cramer of Girard; nieces and nephews, Michael, Garrett, Adrienne, Sarah and Abby Skrbina, Shannon Swiatkowski, Julie and Lora Cramer, Paolo, Daniel and Cara Ricottilli and great-niece and great-nephew, Lily and Adam Swiatkowski.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Joe Skrbina.

A celebration of George's life will be on Friday at the Royal Oaks Restaurant, 924 Oak Street, in Youngstown.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
