LIBERTY George E. Gasser, 80, died Monday evening, January 18, 2010 at his home. He was born August 3, 1929 in Paris France, a son of Eugene and Bertha Labbe Gasser.

Mr. Gasser was co founder of the Gasser Chair Company in 1946. He was a 1947 graduate of Liberty High School and was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Vienna.

George leaves his wife, the former Janie Faiver, whom he married March 20, 1949; eight children, Gary (Kathy) Gasser of Girard, April (Will) Kerchak of Girard, Cheryl (Bill) Biviano of Hubbard, Cindy (Van) Gasser-May of Las Vegas, NV, Dody (Larry) Bures of Farmdale, OH, Mark (Jennifer) Gasser of Hubbard, Scott (Chris) Gasser of Millersburg, OH and Louie (Kari) Gasser of Vienna, OH; a brother, John A. Gasser of Bristolville, OH; 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Dr. Louis Gasser, Roger Gasser, Sr. and Marcel Gasser and a sister, Nathalie Gasser.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:00 AM at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call on Friday, 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.
