HUBBARD Gary K. Smallwood, 59, of Hubbard, died Wednesday morning, January 16, 2008, at Hospice House. He was born August 8, 1948, in Pikeville, KY, a son of Ernest and Ethel Hylton Smallwood and lived most of his life in this area.

Mr. Smallwood worked for Century 21 Paints for over 20 years and was a graduate of South High School. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed history and served in Germany with the U.S. Army.

Besides his parents of Youngstown, he leaves a son, Daniel K. (Tammy) Smallwood of Hubbard; a daughter, Jerri A. (Scott) McGinnis of Girard; three brothers, Monty Smallwood of Boardman and Ellery Smallwood and Bernie Smallwood, both of Youngstown; three sisters, Judy Webster of Youngstown, Debbie Foster of Howland and Betty Kelbel of North Lima; three grandchildren, Joshua McGinnis and Jennifer and Daniel Smallwood.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Janey Sloan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
