HUBBARD TWP Gary Louis Flickinger, 66, died Friday afternoon at Hospice House. He was born November 14, 1946 in Youngstown, a son of Louis Harvey and Lorraine Elizabeth Sanders Flickinger and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Flickinger was a Counselor and Psychological Service Assistant for the Youth Development Center in New Castle for 30 years, retiring in 2002. Gary served with the United States Army, received his Masters degree from Slippery Rock University and was an avid bicyclist.

He leaves his wife, the former Linda Jane Sterrett, whom he married in 1977; a daughter, Karen Lin (Joshua) Sloan of Hubbard and a grandson, Lucas Sloan.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

There are no calling hours.
