HUBBARD Frederick J. Gudzinas, 71, died Saturday morning August 11, 2012 at Hospice House. He was born January 29, 1941 in Phillipsburg, NJ a son of John A. and Martha A. Kalnas Gudzinas and has lived here since 1962 coming from Phillipsburg.
Mr. Gudzinas was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School and then joined the Air Force. He trained at Lackland Air Force Base and spent time in Panama City at Tyndall Air Force Base. Fred was an Electrician in the IBEW Local 64 for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member and Assistant Pastor at Living Waters Fellowship in Brookfield. He loved antiques and trains.
He leaves his wife, the former Tamyra L. "Tammy" Bortmas, whom he married October 26, 1963; four sons, Christopher A. Gudzinas of Youngstown, Joseph M. Gudzinas of Liberty, Nathan J. (Julie) Gudzinas of Hubbard and Jed D. (Angela) Gudzinas of Angier, NC; a daughter, Sarah A. (Rob) Craig of Struthers; two brothers, David G. Gudzinas of Florida and John M. Gudzinas of Youngstown; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James F. Gudzinas.
Memorial services will be held Thursday 5:00 PM at Covenant Life Fellowship Church in Hubbard.
