HUBBARD Frederick J. Burns, 55, of Hubbard died Friday, February 22, 2008, at Palms West Hospital, West Palm Beach, FL. He was born April 18, 1952, in Brownville, PA, a son of Thomas and Dorothy Stultz Burns. Fred grew up in McKeesport, PA and has lived in Hubbard for over 30 years.

Fred worked for LMS Services in Warren, was a member of St. Patrick Church and a former chairman of the church festival. He was a member and past president of the Hubbard Lion's Club and was the recent recipient of its 100% Club President's Award. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirate's fan, Fred enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and golfing; he was a member of a golf league at Deer Creek Golf Course. He attended Youngstown State University.

He leaves his wife, the former Joyce A. Riordan, whom he married May 24, 1975; two sons, Kevin Michael Burns and Timothy Michael Burns, both of Hubbard; one daughter, Mollie Ann Burns of Hubbard; his mother, Dorothy Burns of Poland; three brothers, Thomas L. Burns and John T. Burns, both of West Palm Beach, FL and Michael Burns of Poland; one sister, Katherine Hacon of Youngstown.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10:15 am at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm.
