HUBBARD Frank A. Cwynar, Sr., 80, passed away at home, Tuesday morning, with his family at his side. Frank was born September 24, 1926, in New Castle, PA. He was the son of Anthony and Karolina Korab Cwynar.
On August 3, 1946, he married Elizabeth Tencer and they had 61 years together. They resided in New Castle until 1955 when they moved to Hubbard, OH.
He owned and operated Cwynar's Bakery in Hubbard for 30 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Parish and loved volunteering as a caller for the weekly bingo. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hubbard, the Polish National Alliance, Greater Beneficial Union and the Slovak Club of New Castle.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by his daughter, Carolyn, his son, Frank Jr., his daughter-in-law, Cheryl, and his granddaughters, Amy Lynn and Laura Elizabeth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Walter, sisters, Josephine Vanus, Helen Fleeger, Violet Olma and Nellie Latona.
Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, 709 North Main Street, Hubbard, Ohio.
Funeral services will be on Friday, 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home and at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be given in Mr. Cwynar's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512.
