Frank Phillips, 72, died Thursday October 16, 2014. He was born February 13, 1942, a son of Henry and Kathryn Schlais Phillips.

Frank was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard and St. James Church in Lake Placid, FL. He was a 1960 graduate of Hubbard High School where he made the All Steel Valley Conference for football in the 1959 to 1960 season. Frank was enlisted in the United States Army 10th engineer battalion from 1961 to 1964 having attained the rank of Sergeant E5.

Frank retired from General Motors in 1997 and was inducted into the Old Timers Baseball Hall of Fame. He enjoyed fishing, trips to Canada, bocce, shuffleboard, playing cards and most of all spending time with his family.

He leaves his children, daughters, Heidi (Mark) Trexler of Burghill, Mary (Jamie) Yungbluth of Lake Placid, FL, son Peter Phillips of Hubbard and daughter, Amy (Jamie) Longwell of Palm Harbor, FL; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Frank also leaves his brothers, Mike (Eileen) of Greensboro, NC, John (Cindy) Phillips of Hubbard and Jim (Sue) Phillips of Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joy Phillips.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, one hour prior to the services from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
