Frank Nelepka's Obituary


HUBBARD Frank A. Nelepka, 86, of Hubbard, died Tuesday morning, January 10, 2006, at Liberty Health Care Center. He was born July 31, 1919, in Youngstown, a son of Joseph Sr. and Rosalia Theirkauf Nelepka and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Nelepka worked for US Steel Corp. Ohio Works for 42 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard where he volunteered for the festival and bingo. A Hubbard Band Booster, he was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. Frank enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

His first wife, the former Mary Cuccarese, whom he married on July 31, 1942, died on January 14, 1971, his second wife, the former Helen B. Spelich, whom he married on July 7, 1972, died on June 14, 1988.

He leaves two daughters, Rose Marie (Richard) Love and Frances (Sherman) Merritt, both of Hubbard, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his wives, his parents, a brother, Joseph Nelepka, three sisters, Rose Nelepka, Barbara Ambrose and Mary Zatchok, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the services.
