Frances Hetson's Obituary


HUBBARD Frances "Rita" Hetson, 70, died Saturday evening, February 4, 2006, at her home. She was born February 3, 1936, in Hubbard, a daughter of Frank and Catherine Stopnick Phillips and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Rita worked for the National City Bank, Hubbard branch, for 37 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Covenant Life Fellowship, Hubbard, where she served as a volunteer in many different areas of the church. She was a former member of the First Christian Assembly, Liberty, where she was a Sunday school teacher, member of Church Council and many other volunteer activities.

She was a member of the Hubbard Fortnightly, American Business Women's Association, Hubbard, the Christian Women's Association and Stonecroft Ministries. She was the secretary for the Zoning and Appeals Board, the Park and Recreation Board and the Planning and Zoning Board. Rita was a 1954 graduate of Hubbard High School.

She leaves three sons, Greg (Linda) Hetson of Torrington, CT, Jeff (Mary) Hetson of Austintown and Eric (Diane) Hetson of Hubbard; a brother, James R. Phillips of Hubbard; a sister, Ann Marie Radanovic of Hubbard; five grandchildren, Christopher, Lilly, Stuart, Emma and Isaac.

Her parents and a brother, Michael Phillips, are deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Covenant Life Fellowship Church in Hubbard.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the services.
