HUBBARD Flora H. Diorio, 85, of Hubbard, died Friday morning, February 9, 2007, at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center. She was born on October 1, 1921, in Hubbard, a daughter of John and Angelina Tucci DeSanctis and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.

Mrs. Diorio was a homemaker and formerly worked for DeLuco Catering. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Her husband, Patsy A. Diorio, whom she married on August 17, 1940, died on March 21, 1993.

She leaves a daughter, Rosanne (Tom) Ferrara of Boardman; a daughter-in-law, Margie Diorio of Struthers; four grandchildren, Tom Ferrara, Michele Ferrara Colangelo, Patrick Diorio and Paul Diorio and four great-grandchildren, Paul Diorio, Jr., Maria, Miranda and Michael Colangelo.

Besides her husband, her parents, a son, Roger Diorio, seven brothers, Anthony, Rebel, Fernando, Italo, Roland, Paul and Caruso DeSanctis, who was killed in action during World War II and two sisters, Dora Schlatter and Helen DeSanctis, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be on Monday, 10:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
